Every time you save, OmniCon keeps a snapshot of what it looked like before — so a bad edit, an accidental overwrite, or a change you regret is always one click from being undone.
Where it works
Version history is available on every editable content type in a channel:
- Articles — the article editor
- Pages — the page block editor
- Custom layouts — the layout editor
- Partials — the partial editor
- Channel assets (CSS/JS) — the asset editor
Each has a Version history card at the bottom of the editor, listing every saved snapshot with when it was saved, its title, who saved it, and its size.
How saving works
You don't have to do anything to create a version — a snapshot is taken automatically every time you save, up to the most recent 20 versions. Older snapshots roll off as new ones are added.
Restoring a version
- Open the item you want to roll back and scroll to Version history.
- Click Restore next to the version you want.
- Confirm in the dialog — it shows you when that version was saved and its title before you commit.
For articles and pages, restoring brings back that version's content, title, description, tags, URL, main image, layout, and publish dates. Comments are not affected.
It's safe to experiment
Restoring is non-destructive: your current version is snapshotted before the older one is applied. If a restore turns out to be the wrong call, it's right there in the history to restore back to.
