Browsing the library

April 15, 2026

Library, Media, Documents, and Recent views — and how to see where a file is used.

The media library has a few views that filter the same underlying storage.

  • Library — everything, paged with a continuation token.
  • Media — images only. This is what the editor's picker uses.
  • Documents — PDFs and non-image files.
  • Recent — the last 12 items you touched, for quick reuse.

File details

Click any file to open its details page. From there you can rename it, edit metadata, and see a Usage panel that lists every article, page, book, or press release referencing it. The same view powers the orphan report.

Folders

Folders are just a string on the file record — there's no separate directory entity. Group by folder when you upload or edit an item; the library view can filter by folder name.
